Yaw has over a decade of experience in private equity, investment banking and microfinance.

He was the Vice President of Serengeti Capital, Ghana, a private equity firm, where he led teams in major corporate finance transactions and acquisitions largely in the financial services industry, working closely with DFIs including IFC, EIB, & GIZ.

He has worked on several international and local investment transactions as a Senior Associate at Houlihan Smith Inc., an investment firm in Chicago & Ghana, and was instrumental in establishing Houlihan’s local office in Ghana.

He has a degree in Agricultural Economics at KNUST, Ghana, a certificate in Advanced Statistics & Mathematics at City University, London, an MSc in Investment & Finance from Queen Mary, University of London and a Law degree from the Mountcrest College, Accra. He is an accomplished chess player and a dedicated gardener.
